Large Harmony Ball Necklaces Produce Better Sound Quality

The size of the chime ball or harmony ball pendant used in the greater majority of harmony necklaces available online are typically 3/4"(or 18/20mm) diameter. At HarmonyBall.net.au we also offer the larger sizes of harmony balls as are typically available from the Artisan silversmiths of Bali, sizes up to 1 3/16" or 28mm. The larger the harmony ball on the necklace then the better or more harmonious will be the sound - it is a matter of acoustics. The more space inside the harmony ball then the better the quality of sound produced, the sound resonates more, like listening an organ in a small room compared to hearing an organ playing in a large cathedral - or another way to put it, like using a hand held bell by holding the bell rather than holding the handle (a thudding sound versus a ringing sound). So if you want the very best sounding harmony necklace then select one with a large harmony ball.

Sizes of the large Harmony Ball pendants available on our Harmony Necklaces are; in the hinged cage style range are 7/8" (22mm), 1" (24mm), 1 1/8" (26mm) and 1 3/16" (28mm), and, in the solid Traditional Balinese style range are 7/8" (22mm), 1" (24mm), 1 1/8" (26mm) and 1 3/16" (28mm). The dimensional differences may not seem much however the increase in the internal space / volume for the sound to resonate is significant, resulting in better sound quality.
